In the Hills Christian School is a cooperative of homeschooling families in Chino, California. We follow the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education: children learn best from living books rather than dry textbooks, through narration — telling back what they have read — and through direct contact with the natural world in nature study.
Our days are built around short, focused lessons, generous time outdoors, and the belief that every child is a person worthy of rich ideas. Families teach at home during the week and gather together for shared learning and fellowship.
